Hi, I'm Traci Martin, thanks for visiting my website!
Pictured above is Skittles sitting on my lap, she was a foster dog I cared for a couple years ago. I've been involved in our local foster program since moving to Colorado and have seen a vast array of dog personalities. Skittles was our first foster dog, she had been abused and even shot, which resulted in incontinence, but was still one of the happiest dogs I've ever met. We then took care of Jessie, a doberman who was an absolute cuddle bug, but was not a fan of other animals. Among other animals we met was Katie, a pitbull with a loving heart and a lot of energy! I took care of Daffney, a lab/boxer/rhodesian ridgeback mix who was my absolute favorite. She was not a fan of other dogs, was incredibly hyper, had separation anxiety, and loved to jump. Over the short amount of time I had the privilege of getting to know these amazing dogs, I also got the chance to work with them on any issues they had, both improving their lives, and chance of finding a forever family.
Before moving to Colorado for college, I grew up in Vermont with labs (Lady, Cuppy, Porky, and Shadow), ranging from the golden years to puppyhood and back again. I've loved training since I can remember, and have now decided to make it a priority in my life. I'm currently training my new German Shepherd mix puppy, Toby. Please check out my Facebook page and YouTube channel for videos and updates of him.
Photography has also been a passion of mine. I started taking pictures on road trips and vacations, which turned into hikes, and then family events. I truly got into photography when I got my first horse, Reba. When we went to competitions, I would bring my camera and take action and still photos of contestants and their four-legged partners, edit them, and post them to facebook. After getting overwhelmingly positive feedback, I began to study the art and teach myself different techniques, often going out into the field to take pictures of nature and my horses for practice. Over the past few years, I've traveled more and and expanded my portfolio and subjects.
Please take a moment to look at my portfolio and dog training, hopefully you'll love what I do as much as I do! :)
Peace and love,
Traci
